Amidst the big news from Apple yesterday, specifically the iPhone Duo, the company quietly made adjustments to the previous-gen iPhones. While we’re used to Apple reducing them by $100, this year they’re doing the complete opposite.
This means the iPhone 16 goes from $700 to $800; the iPhone 17e goes from $600 to $700; the iPhone 17 goes from $800 to $900; and the iPhone Air goes from $1,000 to $1,100. In case you’re wondering what happened to the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, they’ve been discontinued. So you’ll have to either hunt down a refurbished model or just opt for the newest iPhone 18 Pro phones.
However, there is the Apple Upgrade Program to help save on upfront costs towards your new or older iPhone. For example, this cuts the iPhone Air down to $32 monthly for two years or $46 monthly for one year, or the iPhone 17 can be leased for $26 monthly for two years or $37 monthly for one year.
