Apple is ready to unveil new products on October 13th at 9 AM ET in NYC. Earlier this afternoon, the company sent out invites to its ‘Welcome Home’ event, which has been rumored to be focused on several smart home products, both returning and new.

We’re expecting two big announcements according to recent reports. One is a new partnership with LG that would bring forth new smart home products, including an indoor camera, smart deadbolt lock, video doorbell, and a thermostat. The other is the company’s first smart home hub, which would be a HomePod with an iPad mini attached to it and powered by the new Siri AI. We’re also expecting a refreshed Apple TV and HomePod mini, both powered by Siri AI.

Apple’s smart home hub has been delayed until Apple gets Siri AI to where the company wants it, and apparently, that time is soon. It’s expected to have a 6- or 7-inch display, run a new homeOS, support FaceTime calls, and use face and voice recognition to personalize homescreen content.

And let’s not forget about the iPhone Duo officially launching this month. Thus, making the month of October potentially another big month for Apple.
