In addition to the HomeView smart display, Apple also updated its Apple TV 4K set-top box. As the reports suggested, it will arrive with Siri AI support, but there are a few more new features that have been added as well. Mainly, the price, as it got a $100 price hike and will cost you $300 for one now. Pre-orders are now live and arrive on November 13.
Outside of the A19 chip and 128GB of storage, the Apple TV 4K has Siri AI now integrated within the UI and into the remote control. Thanks to the new AI and new far-field mics built into the box, Apple now provides a hands-free experience to make requests, including playing movies/TV shows and adjusting the volume, and can access iPhone info to play content a friend suggested in messages.
Now that Apple is diving deeper into the smart home arena, you can now view live camera or video doorbell notifications from your screen. The newest Apple TV 4K also supports up to four HomePod speakers for a surround sound setup, as previously, it was only two.
