Yup. More teasing about the FaceTime equipped, sporting Retina Display, lighter iPad 2. This time around the word is that the manufacturer has been notified that they will be pushing it to Apple by the end of February. The reports from DigiTimes show that Foxconn, the manufacturer for the next-generation iPad and iDevices of the past, just got word that they have to begin shipping it within the next 100 days with the initial shipments to be 400,000-600,000 units. That number seems quite underwhelming for the amount of iPads Apple is currently selling around 4 million per quarter. As we enter 2011, expect the iPad stories to come out of the woodwork before April (which was when the first iPad was released).
