Time to get ready for the Galaxy Note 7. Yes, you didn’t miss anything nor have you time-traveled one year into the future. Allegedly, Samsung will skip the number 6 so that they can be consistent w/ their Galaxy S line of devices. Got it? Now that you’re caught up, let’s talk about the new Note.
According to an image received from the folks over at SamMobile, it confirms that we are getting the new Note earlier than usual. They typically unveil it during the fall as this time around it will be before the end of summer. Samsung is set to reveal it on August 2nd in NYC as part of their Galaxy Unpacked event. The image also says ‘the next edge is around the corner’ as it looks like the Note 7 will be like the S7 Edge on steroids rather than 2 different devices like last year.
As far as what we’re expecting in regards to features/specs for it, we have an idea as I’m sure Samsung still has a bit more to let us know. Rumors have it w/ a 5.8inch QHD curved edge display, powered by a Snapdragon 823 CPU or a powerful Exynos chip, IP68 water-resistance, an iris scanner, USB-C, and a 4000 mAh battery inside. There was also word of a Samsung take on the BlackBerry Hub software.
The image above looks pretty spot on in regards to it pretty much happening on that date. What do you guys think about the rumored specs? Like, love or hate?
