It’s Note time again and here in NYC, Samsung made their 2nd high-end flagship w/ the Galaxy Note 7. Of course, there were a slew of leaks, reports, & rumors as everything has now come to light. The Note 7 is officially here.
The Note 7 is internals of the S7 edge in Note form.
The Galaxy Note 7 offers a 5.7inch curved QHD Super AMOLED display + 518ppi, powered by a Snapdragon 820 or Exynos CPU, running Android 6.0.1 w/ a slightly new TouchWiz UX, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage expandable via microSD, rear-facing f/1.7 12MP DualPixel camera that supports HDR video, an IP68 water-resistant body, enhanced S-Pen, an added iris scanner to unlock your smartphone, USB-C (a 1st for Samsung) and a 3500 mAh battery.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Note w/o the stylus. This time around, the S Pen offers double the pressure sensitivity at 4096 levels. You can also new tricks like create a magnifying loupe, quick text translation tool, and create GIFs from any video playing. The S Pen is also now IP68 dust + water resistant too.
The Note 7 will be on sale on August 19th for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, & Verizon w/ pre-orders kicking off today. Notes have always been premium devices so expect a premium price for it. The US will get the Black, Blue, & Silver colors while the Gold will be an option.
