Today ViewSonic announced two ViewPads in the form of 7 and 10inch making its way to the US. Back in September, they announced it in the UK and now in exactly two months later now making its here. The ViewPad 7inch model comes running Android 2.2, 7inch LCD touchscreen w/ 800 x 480 resolution, packed with a VGA front-facing camera/3MP rear-facing camera, has 512MB of RAM, MicroSDHC slot for memory expansion, Wi-Fi b/g, Bluetooth, and a 10-hour battery. It is expect to become available before year’s end for $479.
The ViewPad 10inch model is a slightly different beast as it dual-boots Android 1.6 & Windows 7 Home Premium. It is has a 10inch LED touchscreen w/ 1024 x 600 resolution, packed with a 1.66GHz Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, a 16GB SSD, MicroSDHC slot for memory expansion, 1.3MP front-facing camera only, Adobe Flash support, and shipped with Microsoft Office along with videoconferencing software. ViewPad 7 — The Android 2.2 ViewPad 7 combines a powerful processor with 3.5G capable data technology in a lightweight, pocket-sized 7″ form factor. With an 800×480 WVGA LCD screen, this device is one of the only 7″ tablet solutions with Android Google Mobile Services (GMS). As a result, consumers can connect to a selection of more than 100,000 apps and games along with Gmail, YouTube and more for a superior and convenient entertainment solution that fits today’s mobile lifestyle.

Additionally, the 1024×600 LED backlit panel includes a G-sensor and capacitive multi-touch for intuitive navigation across multiple applications. Teamed with a 1.3-megapixel webcam with built-in microphone, the ViewPad 10 is great for videoconferencing as well.
