I think it's safe to say that we all expected another Galaxy Tab from Samsung but everything else was a bit of a surprise for some. In regards to the new Tab S3, it is a great update but Samsung made sure to properly join the 2-in-1 Surface competition w/ the Galaxy Book.
The Tab S3 will offer Glass shell measuring in at only 6mm thick. As far as the specs, you got a 9.7inch Super AMOLED display w/ 2048 x 1536 resolution, powered by a Snapdragon 820 CPU, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage expandable up to 256GB via microSD, 4 speakers tuned by AKG, 6000 mAh battery, 13MP rear-facing camera capable of 4K video, and running Android 7.0 w/ TouchWiz.
Moving onto to the newly announced toys, the Galaxy Book runs Windows 10 and will arrive in 2 different sizes: 10.6 & 12inches. The 10.6inch model will offer an Intel Core m3 CPU, 4GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB of storage expandable via microSD, 10-hour battery life, and only a 5MP front-facing shooter. The 12inch Book w/ offer a Super AMOLED HDR display, powered by an Intel Core i5 CPU, option of 4GB of RAM + 128GB SSD or 8GB of RAM + 256GB SSD - both options expandable via microSD, 10 hours of battery life, and a 5MP front-facing & a 13MP rear-facing camera capable of 4K video.
All of the announced tablets will support the S-Pen. Samsung didn't mention anything about pricing or availability. But stay tuned for more details when they become available.
