Thanks to the recent jailbreaking of the many iDevices and the purchase of a $4 app, it is now possible to complete FaceTime over 3G instead of Wi-Fi. This would assist within taking FaceTime to go outside of a Wi-Fi connection. FYI: The alternative to jailbreaking your iDevice is to use the Fring app, which normally allows video calling over 3G.
