Today is the day for the big reveal for LG.  Meet the LG V40 ThinQ: their new smartphone created for media consumption & content creation.  LG is pushing it as the ‘Phone w/ 5 cameras’ but there’s a bit more to this than that.

LG’s 5-camera flagship will help you catch every angle.

You got LG’s biggest phone w/ a 6.4inch OLED display w/ a Super Bright mode as well, powered by Snapdragon 845 CPU, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage expandable via microSD, running Android Oreo, IP68 dust/water-resistant body, headphone jack + 32-bit quad DAC, Boombox speaker, wireless charging, and a 3300 mAh battery that LG suggests can go ‘all-day’.

Now to the cameras, there are 5 – 2 in the front & 3 on the rear.  The front offers a standard 8MP + wide-angle 5MP lenses.  On the rear, you a f/1.5 12MP sensor, a super wide-angle f/1.9 16MP sensor w/ 107-degree view, and a f/2.4 telephoto/portrait sensor.  The rear shooters can take a photo using all 3 lenses to give you 3 different angles of your shot.  You still got AI Cam mode w/ AI-assisted camera modes as well.

Pre-orders kick off now and will go on sale on October 18th.  Pricing ranges from $900-$980 depending on the carrier.  But those who pre-order get a sweet bundle that includes a DJI Osmo Mobile 2 gimbal + 256GB microSD card for free.

So is the device from LG that you’ve been waiting for?
