Apparently this was a concept many camera manufacturers have been working on like Nikon. The Galaxy Camera takes the best of both worlds into one shooter. Armed with a 4.8inch Clear HD Super LCD touchscreen w/ 1280 x 720 resolution, powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 8GB of storage, 1650 mAh battery, and a f/2.8 23 mm 16.3MP CMOS sensor capable of 21x optical zoom + image stabilization. The Galaxy Camera isn’t just a Wi-Fi shooter, this has 3G as well as 4G support thanks to a microSIM card slot.

This has Samsung’s Share Shot feature along with voice control, and remote viewfinder (sharing what you see with another device). Unfortunately this doesn’t shoot in RAW format though. Don’t think an Android device with a high-level lens on it, think more powerful point-and-shoot powered by Android w/ access to its apps. This is expected to arrive sometime in October while pricing will be announced at a later date.

This is a very interesting idea which looks to be executed well but time will tell.
