On Friday, we got a nice new package to unbox. Inside was a new flagship smartphone from LeEco: the Le Pro 3. They’re a Chinese company which produces smartphones, 4K TVs, smart bikes, and more. They’re looking to break ground here in the US starting w/ this. After spending a few days w/ it, we wanted to share our thoughts on something new to Android.
- The exterior brings forth a super-slim design/profile. It is reminiscent of a mesh something HTC/ZTE would craft. Definitely not as slippery as other all-metal devices and offers a good grip to go along w/ it.
- The massive display is a stellar one for being a 1080p resolution. You got a 5.5inch panel w/ 403ppi that is pretty good on the visuals from my short time w/ it.
- The combination of a Snapdragon 821, 4GB of RAM, & 64GB of storage makes everything snappy. Especially w/ zipping in-and-out of LeEco’s various video streaming services.
LeEco’s big feature is their on-demand video services that comes straight to your phone.
- Speaking of their services, it lives in part of their eui software running on top of Android 6.0. This grants you access live TV, movies, and online videos at a touch of a button. This takes place within their content portals like Le, LIVE, Le View, & LeVidi.
- No headphone jack but the bottom-firing dual speakers does offer Dolby Atmos + Hi-Fi audio. It’s not the loudest but offers a more full sound to everything being pumped out of it.
- The massive 4070 mAh battery is doing the job thus far. I have done some light streaming w/ the battery at less than 50% when I unboxed it and it’s still isn’t dead yet.
- The 16MP rear-facing camera is pretty fast. At 1st glance, photos in great lighting look really good and in low-light could have some improvement but we’ll dissect it a bit more in more testing.
We’ll be diving more into everything for our full review which will be up sooner rather than later. Let us know what else you might want us to tackle for the review BTW.
