Ever since Google changed Android Wear to Wear OS things have been quiet as a tear falling in regards to Android smartwatches. Based on a report from Android Headlines, that is about to change – as early as this week possibly. Their report suggests LG is coming through w/ a new hybrid smartwatch dubbed the LG Watch Timepiece.
It is said to be a hybrid in the form of having physical hands utilizing quartz movement on top of Wear OS for notifications, music, & other smartwatch-related things. It is said to offer a circular 1.2inch LCD display w/ 360 x 360 resolution, powered by a Snapdragon 2100 CPU, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity. Thus far, no word on GPS or NFC on board.
The overall size is said to be somewhere in between the Watch Style & Watch Sport Google dropped last year. The announcement is set to happen sometime this week. Maybe on Monday or Wednesday along w/ the G7 announcement. The new watch is supposed to go on sale sometime in June though.
So who’s interested in a new Wear OS watch from LG?
