Yesterday, Oppo unveiled a new flagship w/ the Find X.  There are many interesting things about this phone but 2 standout things.  One, this is making its way to the US w/ actual carrier support and two, it hides its cameras (both front + rear) inside of the phone that comes out via motorized pop-up mechanism.

So w/ a camera like that, the motor needs to have a good speed to take fast photos, selfies, and face unlock.  Good thing the camera pop-up takes only 0.5 seconds to come out of the phone for use.  Speaking of cameras, it has a 25MP front-facing camera w/ 3D facial scanning system and a dual camera system on the rear w/ a 16MP & 20MP sensors.  It utilizes the 3D facial scanner for face unlock as the Find X doesn't offer a fingerprint scanner.

In regards to the rest of the phone, this is still flagship standards.  You got a 6.4inch OLED 1080p display, powered by a Snapdragon 845 CPU, 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, running Android 8.1 Oreo w/ Oppo's Color OS UI, and a 3730 mAh battery.  Because of the pop-up camera, you don't need to have a notch and this barely have any bezels.  Oppo puts this w/ a 92.25% screen-to-body ratio w/ a profile similar to that of the Galaxy S9.

We don't have US pricing but it is said to be available sometime in August.  This is the type of innovation you have to love especially in the land of notches.  What do you think about the Find X by Oppo?
