Now we were waiting on OnePlus return to the budget arena w/ a new device.   Rumors had it as the OnePlus Z to be a successor of the OnePlus X from 2015 but now it official and its real name is the OnePlus Nord.

On Friday, a demo video the was leaked and then made official on OnePlus social media sites.  The video shows offs an aler slider, a dual selfie camera, a triple or quad camera setup for the rear, and a the design language OnePlus has been using the past few devices.

Rumors have the specs on the Nord w/ a 6.5inch 1080p 90Hz refresh display, Snapdragon 765, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, and a 4000 mAh battery w/ 30W fast-charging.  The new chipset will give this 5G speeds as well so this will be a competitor.  The specs are supposed to mirror some of what we’re to expect from Google’ 5th-gen Pixel series as well.  Not bad, OnePlus.  Not bad.  Just gotta see about US availability.

While the Nord is not a better phone name than the OnePlus Z IMO, I’m curious to see what it officially looks like and how the market reacts to it.  How about you?  Is the Nord something you might be interested in?
