Yesterday, Google announced when Google Play Music will reach the end of the line.  We knew it was coming to end as they’ve already pushing users to YouTube Music and now we know exactly when.

So depending on where you are in the world, it begins in September for those of you live in New Zealand & South Africa.  All other regions of the world won’t have access in October.  In December, the app will completely shut down entirely so you better transfer your music library to YouTube Music sooner rather than later.

Also, later this month, you won’t be able to buy music from the Google Play Store either.  Google did give their users a good enough time to transfer your music over.  They’re helping the process be more seamless by pre-loading YouTube Music on new smartphones running Android 10.

I’ve transferred my content over but haven’t really used it as I’m in Spotify world.  What’re your thoughts on the YouTube Music experience?
