Sony has been having an amazing few years in camera innovations w/ their Alpha line of shooters.   Plans to keep up w/ the pace for next year appear to already be in motion.  Riding high off the A7S III, its time to start thinking about the A7IV.

This is the sequel to the beloved A7III that launched back in 2018.  It is rumored to offer a 32MP full-frame mirrorless sensor, capable of shooting in 4K up to 60fps, a decent quality LCD that does flipout, possibly the new menu system from the A7S III, and a slightly higher price point as well.  Instead of the $1,999 price tag the A7III had, this one is looking to go for $2,400. And this will more than likely be for the body only.  The price hike, if true, will be due to the A7C taking that spot.

No word on if the image processor will get an update or how many focus points will be present or will it shoot in 10-bit.  The rumored time of announcement is either Q2 or Q3 of 2021.  Would this be something you would upgrade to?  This might be the one for me.
