Since everyone else is upping their pricing, its no surprise that the Disney-owned ESPN+ streaming service is getting one as well. Beginning on January 8th, the service is going up by $10 as the price will go from $50 to $60 per month.
This isn’t the 1st price hike from the service as earlier this year, the monthly plan went up by $1 in August and now its time for the annual plan to get the increase. New subscribers will have to pay $60 on the 8th while current subscribers will get the new pricing on March 2nd. In addition to the monthly pricing going up, UFC PPV events will also get an increase. So instead of paying $65 per event, you will be paying $70 starting on the 8th as well. However, regular UFC events won’t require an additional cost though.
This is more than likely to cover more exclusives coming to the platform as well as the streaming rights to Southeastern Conference football. You’ll still have MLB, European soccer, college sports, and series like 30 for 30 to name a few.
