So earlier today, Sony announced a new event coming next week to show off their new Alpha shooter.  The tease has the tagline ‘the one never seen’ indicating its speed.  If we had to guess, we would say that this will be the new Sony A9 Mark III.

This will be Sony’s high-end shooter flexing off all of their features/technologies seen from the A7S III and showing off many new things they had up their sleeves as well.  The folks over at Sony Alpha Rumors suggest it will be armed w/ a 50MP sensor capable of 8K @30fps w/ no overheating, and expect things like the AF/EVF/etc from the A7S III.  With these specs alone, it is said to be on the pricey-side around $4,999 – which is $1,500 more expensive than the Canon EOS R5 as well.  It is expected to go on sale sometime during Q1 of this year.

So we don’t even have a long of a wait to find out which camera it will be or all it will bring.  Sony’s event is happening next week on January 26th @10AM EST.  If Sony truly drops their 1st 8K full-frame mirrorless camera, would you be interested in picking this one up?
