Apparently, Sony ain’t done flexing their innovation muscles for 2021.  They already showed off the Alpha 1 capable of 8K video w/o overheating and now we look like we’re getting a new Cinema Camera w/ the new FX3 cinema camera that has leaked out.

The FX3 looks to have the size of one of their Alpha full-frame mirrorless lines – more specifically the A7S III.  BTW, these images + information arrive courtesy of Nokishita & Sony Alpha Rumors.

It will be capable of 4K 10-bit 4:2:2, caps out at 4K @120fps but 8K though, S-Cinetone color profile, active cooling to record up to 13 hours w/o overheating, a flip out touchscreen display, will use CFexpress Type A cards,  can connect Sony’s XLR-K3M Dual-Channel XLR Adapter Kit & more via their three 1/4-20inch threads for mounting.

Rumors have it set to arrive for around $4,500 w/ pre-orders kicking off on February 23rd.  So if all of this turns out to be true, we should expect an announcement for it sometime in the very near future.
