The new 2021 M1 Macs are coming! We knew it was happening and now we got the official confirmation earlier this afternoon. Next week on October 18th @10AM EST/1PM EST on Apple’s site, they will unveil some new treats.
Based on the tweet above & the official invite image, speed will be the emphasis on this event in regards to all the next-gen M1 Macs can do. As far as what we’re expecting to see here, a few new things. More specifically, a 14inch + 16inch MacBook Pro, a new redesigned Mac Mini, & potentially the 3rd-gen AirPods + 2nd-gen AirPods Pro.
The new MacBooks are rumored to offer even faster performance/processing speeds thanks to the next-gen M1 CPU, the return of MagSafe charging, HDMI port, & SD card, and gone is the OLED touchbar which no one used. The new Mac Mini is said to offer more ports than last year’s model w/ 2 Thunderbolt/USB 4 Type-C + 2 USB-A ports.
If we do get the new AirPods 3, they will resemble the current AirPods Pro design w/ shorter stems & remodeled charging case. While the new AirPods Pro would look more like wireless stem-less buds.
That’s all we have in regards to rumors and such. Next week is gonna be a busy week w/ this and the Pixel 6 event the following day. This is Techtober in case you forgot. Exciting times.
