Yesterday, Honda unveiled their ambitious new EV coming next year w/ the Prologue electric SUV.  This will be the company’s 1st foray into a true EV here in the US.  They’ve been pushing more so Hybrid vehicles until now.

Believe it or not, they’ve teamed up w/ General Motors utilizing their Ultium battery packs for a great combo of performance & range.   Will be within the upcoming Cadillac Lyriq as well as the Hummer EV.  Which GM claims it can get a range of up to 400 miles or more per charge w/ 0-60 mph as low as 3 seconds.  This will be one of 2 vehicles done in partnership w/ GM as one is  this SUV and the other will be an Acura-branded  EV.

The Prologue was designed at the Honda Design Studio out in Los Angeles w/ a team from Japan as well.  They gave us a 4-door SUV, long wheelbase q/ bigger wheels, headlights resembling that of the current Honda design language, not a super tall SUV that kind of looks like Mazda CX-30, and a hatch back trunk area.

This will be apart of their upcoming Honda E architecture which will be out on 2026 w/ a slate of affordable EVs.  The Honda Prologue electric SUV is due out sometime in 2024 w/ pricing & further details are yet to be revealed.

Is Honda’s 1st electric SUV looking good to you so far?
