While teased for those at CES this year, Sony unveiled its latest LinkBuds this morning. Introducing the LinkBuds Clips, Sony’s take on the open-ear, clip-on design. They have a C-shaped design that attaches to your outer ear, which doesn’t require inserting them into your ear canal to fit a variety of ear shapes comfortably. The new design should also reduce fatigue during extended use. They also offer IPX4 water resistance to protect against sweat and rain.

As far as audio, the Clips offer three listening modes: standard, which is the default option for music and calls; voice boost, which enhances vocals on these open-ear buds; and sound leakage reduction mode, which lowers the bleeding audio to not disturb those around you. They also support 10-band EQ, DSEE sound profile, Sony’s 360-degree Reality Audio, Background Music Effect, and multipoint Bluetooth connection to swap easily between devices.

The new LinkBuds have a quoted 37 hours of battery life, which is nearly two days of juice on a single charge. This also includes a quick charge feature, where a 3-minute charge grants up to an hour of use. This feature makes these buds a compelling option for all-day listeners and anyone seeking an alternative approach to personal audio.

The $230 Sony LinkBuds Clips are available now in black, green, lavender, and whatever the hell greige is as color options. Sony is also selling clip case covers and fitting cushions, also available now, for $25 in coral, green, blue, lavender, and black color options.
