The UAG Mouve case provides superb coverage, a secure fit, a strong Qi2 magnet, and a superior grip—all without adding massive bulk. However, it does leave select areas exposed for potential damage.

We’re still on a quest for an ideal case solution for Google’s newest foldable, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, as we have started diving into the bevy of foldable cases on Amazon and across the Internet. Despite using a gearless hinge, it is currently the only foldable with an IP68-rated body; one should still protect an $1,800 phone. Our first test subject for the foldable is the Mouve Case from UAG. I’ve been using the case on my Pixel 10 Pro Fold for a little over a month now, and we’re ready to let you know if this $70 case is worth it or not. Let’s get started.

For the uninitiated, UAG stands for Urban Armor Gear, which is a US-based accessories company that specializes in its industrial and rugged design for just about every smartphone, smartwatch, and laptop. Like the majority of UAG cases, the Mouve meets military drop-test standards, which means it can be dropped at least 26 times on all sides from a minimum of 4 feet onto plywood over concrete. While we didn’t do any rigorous drop tests, as Google isn’t shipping out multiple review units, the case has easily survived being in pockets with keys and several accidental 6 ft falls.

The UAG case arrives in a two-part solution, which uses an adhesive lining within the inner walls for a secure fit and is comprised of TPU and polycarbonate (or hard plastic). This feature helps your foldable feel secure, and its transparent rear can handle scratches and mild damage. It also adds additional corner coverage for additional drop protection, small ridges on the sides for an improved grip, and raised parts around the screen and camera lens.

UAG includes a Qi2 magnet to retain the 10 Pro Fold’s Pixelsnap support while using the case. It’s both strong and perfectly aligned so you can use it effortlessly with wireless chargers, MagSafe car phone mounts, wallets, power banks, and other Qi2 accessories. However, not many Qi2 accessories will support the 10 Pro Fold completely unfolded due to its weight distribution while open. The case also features a large cutout for access to both the power and volume buttons, as well as precise cutouts for the phone’s USB-C port, microphones, and speakers.

And lastly, UAG offers a limited lifetime warranty on their standard phone cases, which covers defects. So don’t expect the company to cover any damage to your device or damage sustained while using the case.

The $70 UAG Mouve case nearly feels like a complete case for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. It provides superb coverage, a secure fit, a strong Qi2 magnet, and a superior grip—all without adding massive bulk. However, there are three areas in this case that one would be concerned about. One area of concern is the foldable’s large camera module being completely exposed to scratches and scuffs. Another is the complete outer hinge being exposed and susceptible to potential damage. Lastly, we haven’t found an outer screen protector that works with this case.  However, please note that we haven’t tested every single screen protector for the 10 Pro Fold.

This case is still a solid solution to protect your 10 Pro Fold. However, as we previously mentioned, we’re still researching and testing cases, and even with our minor nitpicks, the Mouve case is still our current favorite for Google’s foldable. But if you have any suggestions for a better case for Google’s foldable, please let us know.
