As the Samsung Galaxy S26 launch happens in a few days, the company announced a bit of news early. Samsung is adding the Perplexity AI to its growing suite of Galaxy AI features for the S26 line, as the company believes consumers shouldn’t be tied down to a single AI chatbot.

Perplexity AI will be integrated system-wide and work hand-in-hand with Samsung apps like Notes, Clock, Gallery, Reminder, and Calendar, and select 3rd-party apps. Perplexity joins Galaxy AI’s options alongside its native Bixby (yes, I said Bixby) and Google’s Gemini. Just as with the other options, you can simply say, “Hey Plex,” to activate or long-press the side button.

The company is continuing its Perplexity partnership after announcing last year that it would power Samsung TVs’ search engine. Samsung will reveal more about this integration at Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked event on the 25th. We expect to see the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra with minor upgrades and possibly alongside other products.
