Next up we got their new flagship smartphones on deck w/ the Huawei Mate 30 & Huawei Mate 30 Pro.  These are armed to teeth w/ all of the features you could ask for – except Google services.  Thanks to US politics and such, you’ll have to deal w/ EMUI 10 that is based on Android 10 but missing Google apps and the Play Store.

Huawei will have its own apps & services on board to fill in the gap.

Outside of that, the Mate 30 has a 6.6inch FHD+ 2340 x 1080 OLED display w/ a 4200 mAh battery, 128GB storage expandable up to 256GB, 3.5mm headphone jack, and IP53 dust/water resistant rating.  While the Mate 30 Pro has a 6.5inch FHD+ 2400 x 1176 OLED display w/ a 4500 mAh battery, 256GB of storage expandable up to 512GB, software-based Air Gestures + AI Rotate, and a IP68 dust/water resistant rating.

Both devices offer their new Kirin 990 CPU, 8GB of RAM, support fast 27W wireless charging + 40W wired charging, face unlock, in-display fingerprint reader, their new Leica-branded rear camera Halo ring design w/ a f/1.8 40MP main sensor, f/2.4 8MP telephoto sensor, f/2.2 16MP ultra-wide sensor, and a laser focus sensor.  The Mate 30 beefs up the ultra-wide to a f/1.8 40MP sensor and trades out the focus sensor for a 3D depth sensor.  Both can do video @4K up to 60fps and record slow-motion up to 7680fps in 720p.

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro is available in 6 colors: silver, green, purple, and black. While the other 2 colors are vegan leather options of green and orange.  No word on availability or pricing in the US or overseas at the time of writing this.

I the lack of Google services a dealbreaker for you or not?
