Well, it was previously rumored but now we have it officially confirmed from the horse mouth. The OnePlus 8 will have wireless charging support – specifically the OnePlus 8 Pro. They formally announced it over in their forums and gave up the details on what to expect.
So OnePlus made their own proprietary Warp Charge Wireless official as it will offer 30W speeds w/ its own fan to help w/ the cooling. Along w/ that, OnePlus equipped this w/ isolated charge pumps to prevent your phone from getting hot and a night mode to charge slower w/ less heat present. The 30W charger will get the phone from 1% to 50% in about 30 minutes which is pretty fast by wireless charging standards. The 8 Pro will still support standard Qi charging standard so you can charge w/ other wireless chargers but at slower speeds though.
Outside of that, their new high-end flagship is said to offer 5G support, Verizon carrier support, a 6.7inch AMOLED 120Hz display, Snapdragon 865 CPU, up to 12GB of RAM & 256GB of storage, and 4 rear cameras. OnePlus will have an online event showing off their lineup of new devices next week on the 14th.
