Yesterday Jon Prosser over at Front Page Tech dropped a motherload of details for the upcoming iPhone 12 line of devices. He gave us the official names, specs, & pricing on all 4 models (yes, 4 not 3 for 2020).
We got 2 sizes in the regular iPhone 12 and 2 sizes in the Pro line. The standard 12 devices will offer the same RAM & dual rear sensors from last year’s models. While on the Pro line, we’re expecting Samsung to provide the OLED panels that will offer variable 120Hz refresh rate (maybe), more RAM, different metals for the bodies, larger batteries to handle that 120Hz display, and more camera sensors on board. With price points ranging from $649 and going all the way up to $1,399.
We got the full breakdown of it all below.
- iPhone 12: 5.4inch OLED Super Retina display, 128GB/256GB storage options, dual rear cameras, aluminum body starting at $649 & $749.
- iPhone 12 Max: 6.1inch OLED Super Retina display, 128GB/256GB storage options, dual rear cameras, aluminum body starting at $749 & $849.
- iPhone 12 Pro: 6.2inch OLED Super Retina XDR display w/ 120Hz ProMotion + 10-bit Color Depth, 128GB/256GB/512GB storage options, triple rear cameras w/ LiDAR, and stainless steel body starting at $999, $1099, & $1,299.
- iPhone 12 Pro Max: 6.7inch OLED Super Retina XDR display w/ 120Hz ProMotion + 10-bit Color Depth, 128GB/256GB/512GB storage options, triple rear cameras w/ LiDAR, and stainless steel body starting at $1099, $1,199, & $1,399.
Now the one thing that we didn’t mention is that all 4 of these models will support 5G at launch. However, not Verizon’s 5G though. I’m just happy Apple is finally ditching the 64GB storage option and doubling it to 128GB – finally!
So for those of you skipped out on the iPhone 11, are you picking up any of the iPhone 12 models?
