Next up, we got the new-and-improved iPad Air for 2022 – a year and a half after the last update. So on the outside, it looks just like the last one as all of the updates are on the inside of it.
So exactly what’s new? You got a faster M1 processor w/ an 8-core CPU + 8-core GPU, 5G support, a faster USB-C port w/ up to 10Gbps of data transfer speeds, sub-6GHz 5G support, landscape stereo speakers, and a brighter 10.9nich HDR display that goes up to 500 nits of brightness.
And last but not least, we got a new f/2.4 12MP selfie camera (coming from a 7MP one) and offers Apple’s new Center Stage feature that keeps you in frame while on video calls. It does retain the same 12MP shooter on the rear w/ 4K video up to 60fps + slow-motion up to 240fps.
The new iPad Air starts at $599 for the Wi-Fi model & $749 for the cellular model. Pre-orders kick off this Friday, the 11th and goes on sale on the 18th. You’ll have 2 storage options of 64GB & 256GB and color options of Gray, Pink, Purple, Blue, & a new Starlight finish.
