While we kind of know what we’re getting w/ this year’s iPhone w/ a mix of notch & wide hole punch for select models, we’re getting word on the 2024 models as well. Sounds like Apple finally figured it out or at least getting closer to going fullscreen for 2024 models.
I think the real full-screen iPhone will come in 2024. High-end iPhones in 2024 would adopt an under-display front camera alongside the under-display Face ID. A low-light condition is detrimental to front camera quality, and ISP & algorithm are critical for quality improvements. https://t.co/vWjeZYZUPK

That means no notch or holepunch present on the Pro models anyways. Based on the latest report from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, we’ll get an under-display Face ID + front-facing camera. Speaking of the front-facing camera, it will add auto-focus + a new f/1.9 aperture for selfies + FaceTime. This will all be possible thanks to improvements to their ISP (Image Signal Processor), BTW.
However, for this year, we can expect the usual improvements and the removal of the notch to swap out for the wider hole punch camera on the 14 Pro/14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 & 14 Max will retain the notch.
