Not to be outdone by the latest AirPods Pro 3, Apple’s smartwatches get big updates as well. Apple unveiled the Apple Watch Series 11, the Apple Watch Ultra 3, and the Apple Watch SE 3—all adding better battery life, 5G support, and important health features across all three models. All three watches, along with supported models, can take advantage of watchOS 26, which adds Apple’s Liquid Glass visuals, a new Workout Buddy feature powered by Apple Intelligence, a wrist-flick gesture to remove notifications, and more.
The base model Apple Watch Series 11 adds a scratch-resistant display, adds 5G support, and up to 24 hours of battery life on a single charge. This is also the first Apple Watch that can monitor high blood pressure via heart-rate monitor and improved algorithms—if the watch notices signs of hypertension, it will alert you on the Health app. It also works in the background, using data collected over 30 days to indicate any above-normal numbers.
The premium Apple Watch Ultra 3 adds a bigger display, 5G support, satellite connectivity, Emergency SOS, improved GPS, and up to a quoted 42 hours of battery life with normal usage. Like the Series 11, the Ultra 3 can also get notifications for signs of chronic high blood pressure.
The 3rd-gen, entry-level smartwatch Apple Watch SE 3 is equipped w/ a new S10 chip, which supports double tap and wrist flick gestures, ovulation estimates, the ability to play music via its speaker, adds always-on display support, 5G support, lasts up to 18 hours on a single charge, sleep apnea support, and the new Sleep Score feature.
The Apple Watch Series 11 starts at $400 and comes in jet black, space gray, rose gold, and silver options. The Apple Watch Ultra 3 starts at $800 and will arrive in natural and black titanium, and the new Apple Watch SE 3 starts at $250 and will ship in midnight and starlight-colored aluminum cases. Pre-orders kick off today and go on sale on September 19th.
