As we officially enter May, there is new information on the upcoming Pixel 11 phones from Google. Between the past two months, we got leaks on what all four models, the Pixel 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro XL, and 11 Pro Fold, could potentially look like. Now, it appears the specs on most of the models have surfaced to fill in the blanks of expectations.
Thanks to a Telegram account called Mystic Leaks, which was spotted by 9to5Google, nearly all the hardware specs for all four Pixel 11 models are now known, if it’s at all accurate. For starters, all of the new Pixels are set to run Google’s newest Tensor G65 chip, which is armed with new ARM C1 cores and a new 1+4+2 configuration, and ditch the rear-facing temperature sensor. Google will reportedly ditch Samsung’s Exynos for a MediaTek M90 modem and use a new TPU (AI chip) and GXP or ISP (Google’s custom image processing chip). The changes should result in better images, call quality, data speeds, and more on-device AI capabilities.
- The Pixel 11 is set to arrive with a 6.3-inch 1080 x 2424 OLED display with a 60-120 Hz refresh rate, up to 2,200 nits of brightness, up to 12GB of RAM, a 4,840 mAh battery, and a choice of Black, Green, Pink, and Purple color options.
- The Pixel 11 Pro will have a 6.3-inch 1280 x 2856 OLED display with a 1 to 120 Hz refresh rate, up to 2,450 nits of brightness, up to 16GB of RAM, and a 4,707 mAh battery.
- The Pixel 11 Pro XL offers a 6.8-inch, 1344 x 2992 OLED display with a 1 to 120 Hz refresh rate, up to 2,450 nits of brightness, up to 16GB of RAM, and a 5,000 mAh battery.
- The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is set to have a 1080 x 2342 resolution OLED outer screen with a 1-120 Hz refresh rate and up to 2,450 nits of brightness, while the inner screen touts a 2076 x 2160 resolution OLED panel with a 1-120 Hz refresh rate, up to 2,050 nits of brightness, up to 16GB of RAM, and a 4,658 mAh battery. No mention of actual screen sizes, though.
Unfortunately, the Pixel 11 could start with only 8GB of RAM, which would be a downgrade to the 12GB of RAM the Pixel 10 offers. The same could apply to the three 11 Pro models, as they could start at 12GB of RAM as opposed to the current 16GB starting point. If this comes to pass, it would be due to the global RAM shortage and could induce a price increase for the 16GB variants of the Pixel 11 Pro phones.
However, the Pixel 11 and 11 Pro Fold’s main cameras will apparently get upgraded to a 50MP sensor, while the 11 Pro and 11 Pro XL will receive upgraded main and telephoto cameras, though the specifics aren’t specified. Also, the report also mentions the ‘Pixel Glow’ feature, which has been making its way around rumorville. This feature is said to be a new RGB LED-based light system around the retooled camera bar, which can provide color-coded, custom notifications for when your Pixel 11 phone is face down.
