Earlier this week, OnePlus started their official teasing of their new upcoming OnePlus 2 flagship. Well, this time its more of an official tidbit of info rather than a tease. As you read above, it will run Snapdragon’s 810 CPU. Yeah, the same one that was inside of the LG G Flex 2. The same one that was accused of being too hot when performing. So much, that Samsung decided to utilize their own custom CPU for the same reasons.
But it will be more so of a modified variant of the chipset. More specifically a 1.8GHz Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor to be exact. The v2.1 of the chipset will be able to avoid getting too hot for you to hold while still retaining the powerful performance you’ve come to expect from Qualcomm. So w/ the more powerful CPU, you can definitely expect to pay more for the OnePlus 2. The OnePlus One currently starts at $249 but originally sold for $299 for a base price.
