Fall 2015 has arrived as summer now comes to a close.  We now approach new iPhone season.  We got the new software out of the way earlier this summer and now its time to move onto the new hardware coming from Apple as the year closes out.

2015 makes it a year for a new S-line of iPhones.  But this time around we are anticipating more than just new phones.  We possibly a new Apple TV, the elusive iPad Pro finally coming to light, and maybe new line of iPads too.  Now its time lay it out in regards to what to expect.

Let's get it.

iPhone 6S & iPhone 6S Plus

The main focus of Wednesday's Apple event are the new iPhones: the 6S & 6S Plus.  Atypically the S-line offers minimal updates but this year Apple is looking to change things up this time around.  We'll see the usual internal upgrades like a new CPU, moving up to 2GB of RAM but still retaining the same low 16GB storage size unfortunately.  We'll also see stronger aluminum to prevent another bendgate situation.

The display will have a new trick on-board to stand apart from the pack.   Enter the Force Touch or 3D Touch Display.  A screen that measures pressure sensitivity to make different functions.  This will be taps, presses, and a deep press to make a different set of actions/menus to execute an input.  Definitely interested in seeing how Apple implements this.

Apple looks to finally ditch the 8MP rear-facing shooter.  Not that there's anything wrong w/ it but we're just curious to see how Apple executes a higher MP shooter.  We're looking to see a 12MP rear sensor to offer even better images as well as the addition of 4K video.  The FaceTime shooter is said to finally get a better camera too.  There were talks of a 5MP shooter w/ a selfie flash but we'll have to see what actually comes.

And lastly, we may see a new color addition into the mix.  Rose Gold color to match the option from the Apple Watch.  Not sure if that will come into fruition or not.

iPad Pro

Last but not least is the long-awaited iPad Pro is finally set to arrive later this year.  The new tablet is set to ship w/ a 12.9inch display w/ a 2732 x 2048 resolution that can run apps side-by-side thanks to that big screen & iOS 9.1.  Yes, iOs 9.1 which will be part of an update due out around the tablet's release date.  It will be equipped w/ the new Force Touch technology that will be inside of the new iPhones.  The Pro will be powered by a more powerful A9X CPU, 2GB of RAM, start at 64GB of storage, 4 stereo speakers, and its own stylus.  The iPad Pro is said to launch in November w/ pre-orders kicking off in October.

Apple TV

Looks like the Apple TV is finally looking to get its act together.  Previously, the streaming box is capable of streaming via several apps like Netflix, Hulu, etc. - all within its own proprietary UI.  All of that is about to change for the better.

The new device is said to get a huge, minimal redesign as well as the remote control is getting a new look too. It is supposed to have a touchpad for even additional navigation.

The new box may add some bulk to it but all of the goodies are on the inside and what it can now do.  So far, it is said to offer more internal storage, the addition of Siri w/ voice recognition, and a more powerful CPU inside.  Also, the new Apple TV gets its own App Store.  This will add streaming apps, gaming, and other apps offering a more robust experience.

Apple was said to unveil a new TV streaming service but it looks like it may arrive later.  Apple is supposedly still ironing out the content deals as those aren't usually fast to agree and lock into but it will come eventually.

There's word of a new bands for the Apple Watches, refreshed iPads (Air & mini), and of course the official arrival of iOS 9.   So if we get all of these things mentioned above, that means no more October iPad event.  As the sales of Apple's slate has recently began to slide, Apple looks to cut their hardware events by a little.  I guess good things don't last forever.

So what announcement are you looking forward to the most?
