Moving along w/ the other product announcements we’re expecting from Google’s Pixel 3 event: the Pixel Stand. This is said to be a wireless charging stand for the Pixel 3/3 XL. The Pixel Stand does have a standout feature to make it different from being just another wireless charger.
When you place your Pixel on the Pixel Stand, it will turn your phone into a smaller version of a Smart Display – of sorts. Based on previous info and the gif above, anyways. You will be able to check out messages, alarms, calendar events, and more via Google Assistant will charging. I hope they figured out a way to not make the charge times long being productive while the phone is charging. But we shall see soon, won’t we?
The Made By Google event is happening on October 9th as we’re expecting the Pixel 3/3 XL, new Pixelbook, new Chrome OS tablet, Google Home Hub, and Pixel Stand. Not sure what else is coming out that day but we’re expecting at least that.
