Earlier today, Activision & Bungie livestreamed actual gameplay footage form Destiny 2. It looks amazing BTW. You get to see some of the new abilities & weapons in action as the developers talk about the new foes actually beating our characters instead of our heroes always winning. The new villain, Red Legion, is compared to Hans Gruber from the original Die Hard.
Good thing the sequel is coming to the PC so everyone can get in on the action. Cause you can never have enough Guardians out there running around. Destiny fans will still have to get used to having all of their older gear that they’ve worked so hard to acquire. Whatever the case, they actually put it into the story as in why everyone has to start form scratch.
They also unveiled some new features coming to the sequel w/ Guided Games that makes it easier for players of all experience levels to take on some of the rewarding challenges to win new gear. Along w/ that, you got a new multiplayer mode called Countdown & a 3-player co-op on a new map called Inverted Spire.
Destiny 2 will be out on September 8th starting at $60 and going all the way up to $250 for the Collector’s Edition which comes w/ season pass, a bag, additional content, and a Cabal-themed Collector’s Box.
