Yesterday, LG dropped a new video on their YouTube page giving us our 1st real good look at their upcoming Velvet smartphone.  We’re still working on our V60 ThinQ 5G review but LG is ready to show us all what’s next for them.

They have been teasing the new design along w/ a few leaks but we get to see the LG Velvet in all of its glory.  It is said to be designed by nature w/ its curved edges, raindrop camera camera cutouts and such.  The video shows off the front w/ a teardrop notch in the front and being similar to the V60 by being on the taller side.

he teaser video confirms the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack but we don’t know if it will have a quad  DAC inside though.  It also confirms the CPU inside w/ Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765 chipset.  This ain’t their top-of the line silicon but just the next step down.  Serving as a upper-mid range CPU that is fast and still supports 5G.  Rumors have the upcoming Pixel 5 to be armed w/ the same chipset as well so that should put you at ease.

The LG Velvet touts combination of glass w/ a metal frame along w curved front+ back glass.  We also see the colors of White Pearl, Green, Red, & Black options.  This will be their below-$1,000 5G Android phone from LG coming either soon or sometime towards the 2nd half of 2020.  But the way the leaks are dropping I would go w/ sooner rather than later.

So outside of knowing about the rest of the specs & features, are you interested in learning more about the LG Velvet?
