Although, we’re still a few weeks away from the virtual Google I/O for 2021, they’re already teasing one of the things we can expect to be unveiled: the Pixel Buds A-Series. We’re already anticipating the Pixel 5A but it seems as if we can expect these budget version of the Pixel Buds as well.
Yesterday, the Internets caught Google’s Twitter account dropping the news a bit prematurely. It has since been deleted but if it was on the Internet, it can be caught via screenshot + live forever. We’re expecting the Pixel Buds A-Series to drop a few of the features from the $179 models like the 2nd LED for charging & maybe some other things cut like volume control. We’ll have to wait & see what those are but the good news is that we won’t have long to wait w/ I/O happening on the 18th.
If Google can ship these w/o their previous Bluetooth issues that plagued the 2nd-gen Pixel Buds & at a sweet $99 price point, this could be a hit. Would you be interested in picking up a pair of these to go w/ your Pixel 5a?
