With the virtual version of Google I/O kicking tomorrow, we got a nice leak over the weekend over what to expect from Android 12. This courtesy of Jon Prosser over at Front Page Tech again who brought us that lovely Pixel 6/6 Pro leak last week.
As you can see from the image above & previous reveals, Android 12 will be getting a nice visual overhaul touting a new experience along w/ stronger privacy + security protections. We see new media + other widgets, brightness toggle, a new look at their stacked notifications, new themes, a new lock screen w/ a bigger clock, and much more. Its been a while since we got a visual overhaul on Android outside of minor tweaks/enhancements here & there.
Google has already dropped 3 versions of the Developer Beta as it should move to Public Beta this week as many more folks w/ select smartphones will be able to give this a go. I don’t know about you all but I’m digging the new visuals from Android 12. Who knows if we’ll get the Pixel 5a & Pixel Buds A along w/ the announcements tomorrow.
